Benjamin is showing off his Chinese taste buds. Gai Lan (Chinese broccoli) and some jook (also known as congee or rice porridge) are two of his favorites.

Busy week...some pictures to tell the story...
Cathy's parents had my parents and us over for a tasty lunch and a nice visit.

We celebrated Cathy's brother's birthday a couple of days ago by taking him out to lunch at our favorite place, Coffee Cup Cafe! Puo-Puo and Gung-Gung made the trip down with Jiu-Jiu for some good food and family time!

Lunch in the backyard. Who needs sunscreen when you have a personal tent...

Sunday was my mom's 72nd birthday. We celebrated by going to lunch with the family and some of my mom's mah-jong friends. Benjamin sat next to the guest of honor who, unfortunately, had hurt her back the previous day so couldn't hold him. It was a good lunch. Benjamin was pretty content drinking from his sippy cup and sucking on a plastic, Chinese soup spoon for most of the time. Thank goodness for those easy restaurant "toys!"
Happy Birthday, Puo-Puo!

These were pictures we took back in January. Benjamin was 6-1/2 months old. We wanted some nice baby pictures to enlarge and frame. So we got some black velvet and one morning we set up a little baby photo shoot. I post-processed it a couple of days later, but they've just been sitting on the hard drive until last week when we finally had them printed through Adorama. We thought they turned out nicely, so we thought we would share.

Sorry about the delayed post. We spent Sunday of last weekend at Puo-Puo and Gung-Gung's house for Chinese New Year. It was a great time with food and family.
Benjamin got some good face time with Gung-Gung...

What a wonderful Valentine's Day! Eric got Benjamin this morning so I could sleep a bit longer. Then, he and baby made me breakfast. I woke up to heart-shaped waffles and a cup of java! Alongside my plate I found a very sweet card. Eric drew a picture of our family on the cover and wrote a wonderful Valentine's message inside. He even had Benjamin "sign" the card by stamping his hand. It was so adorable!
